Military Photographers on the Frontlines

“The assignment... simple. The objective... illusive. The cost... immeasurable. We are the men and women who go through great risks to get the shot. We extraordinary videographers and photojournalists train with the best, operate in the worst and get noticed the least. Our mission is to be there when history happens. Ever notice that photo or video clip in the news, book, or documentary? Well, someone had to be there. Someone had to get the shot. Someone had to tell the story. We are that someone.”

All of the photos  provided courtesy of the U. S. Department of Defense and were taken by the most extraordinary photographers in the world, Military Combat Photographers. Embedded with units as they perform their missions, these brave men and women of the military endure firefights, bombings and other high risk situations to capture powerful images of war and peace.

THE POWERFUL WEAPON A U. S. SOLDIER CARRIES IN NOT THEIR GUN BUT THEIR HEART......

Tribute

"My first thoughts on this project were Wow someone put together a book and posters to honor the men and women that serve our country day and night so we have peace here in America. As a soldier of the United States Army, I think there is an unspoken bond of trust when someone, anyone sees our uniform.  You can see that in this project.  There are friendships and interactions with families and children.  It’s not what people back at home watch on CNN.  These are great photos of true good hearted acts.  I really like the book and posters.”

COMMEMORATING U.S. SOLDIERS AS PURVEYORS OF PEACE

Commemorating The Awesomeness of the Soldiers of this Generation as Heroes…

The American Eagle Heroes Project commemorates and salutes today’s brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces as heroes and purveyor or peace not just agents of war. The project depicts U. S. soldiers as the embodiment of the eagle at the centerpiece of the Great Seal of the United States of America.

"With outstretched wings, the bald eagle clutches in its talons a bundle of arrows and an olive branch… And just as the eagle’s head is turned toward the olive branch rather than its arrows so are our brave soldiers’ first choice actions of peace rather than engaging in war".                                                                    Nicque M. Robinson, 15, Houston, Texas

The American Eagle Heroes Project honors and recognizes the awesomeness of this generation of U.S. soldiers who provide the hope of freedom to people around the world.  It shows how they are winning "The War on Terror" not only with weapons and brute force but by penetrating one heart at a time through friendships, sports, and lending a helping hand.

A Moving Tribute of the American Spirit...

The project uses pictures captured by the incredible unsung talent and bravery of U.S. Military Combat Photographers, to create one of the most inspirational collections of images of valor on display by U.S. Soldiers. The images capture the friendships, the bonds, the relationships, the camaraderie and the overall spirit of good-fellowship between the U.S. Soldiers and the families and children living in the frontline neighborhoods of Iraq and Afghanistan. Each heartwarming image illustrate the true character of our soldiers who while often moments away from a fire fight, make time on the frontlines to play with children, help families, guard schools, hand out school supplies, provide medical aid, and bring smiles of hope to future generations.

The American Spirit on display in each picture will lift Americans spirits with an overwhelming feeling of pride, admiration, and respect for our soldiers as Heroes. More importantly it reminds all American’s why they should always be Proud of U.S. Soldiers and Proud to Be an American.

Never Forget Their Sacrifice…

As we go about our lives enjoying the freedoms of this land, there are men and women whose lives are protecting that freedom in every corner of the world.  By commemorating their valor, American Eagle Heroes Project also supports their family members who Sacrifice daily... Stand by them... Wait by the phone... Check the news... Check emails...And receive the knock at the door... Indicating the ultimate sacrifice was made in protection of our freedom and of freedom around the world.

Because it should not take 10, 20 or 60 years to show our respect and appreciation for this generation of soldiers' valiant service and honorable display of the American Spirit to the World…

REOCOM created The American Eagle Heroes Project to serve as an inspirational reminder that U.S. Soldiers’ are more often Purveyors of Peace than Agents of Wars. The project’s mission is to place these incredible images of our all volunteer military in front of the American people in the flow of American life where they LIVE, WORK and PLAY. REOCOM has created a poster series, calendars, photo collection book and a public exhibit to take these images to every community from the Atlantic to the Pacific and beyond and share these images with all Americans.

Since our tax dollars have already paid for these images, REOCOM is establishing Tribute partnerships with companies that are committed to showing support for our soldiers serving to protect our freedom.

Through these partnerships, Americans from all walks of life will be treated to a gift of the American spirit. The images of bravery, hope and the spirit of peace on display in each picture will fill all Americans with an overwhelming feeling of pride, admiration, respect and honor for our nation and our soldiers as American Eagle Heroes our country’s true Ambassadors of Peace, Hope and Freedom.

To become a Tribute Partner and show your unwavering support for our fine men and women of the military, please contact Ron Robinson at rrobinson@AmericanEagleHeroes.com.

Since the project features pictures of our soldiers…taken by our soldiers, it’s only suitable that the project also helps the soldiers and their families.

THE AMERICAN EAGLE HEROES PROJECT has partnered with The FOLDS OF HONOR Foundation and will make a monetary donation to help  provide emotional, and financial support to the children and spouses of our Fallen or wounded American Servicemen and women.  To get more information on the FOLDS OF HONOR Foundation, visit them online at www.foldsofhonor.org.
